Geoffrey Nelsons' photographic show "A Tribe of Artists:
Costumes and Culture at Burning Man" to open at the Nevada Museum
of Art
The
Nevada Museum of Art has scheduled an exhibition by Geoffrey Nelson
featuring the most exotically dressed denizens of Black Rock City.
Titled A Tribe of Artists: Costumes and Culture at Burning Man the
display will open July 15th and continue until November 21st. In
addition to over 20 life-size portraits, five mannequins dressed
in nighttime "burner wear" will also be on display. Bringing
the exhibition to full sensory involvement will be the sounds and
music of Burning Man at night. The exhibition is sure to bring a
sense of involvement in the popular annual art event held at the
Black Rock Desert, Nevada each week before Labor Day.
